AI bot skills directory: what each bot and skill does
A bot skill is a reusable set of instructions that tells an AI assistant how to do one job the same way every time. This directory lists 12 bots, skills, agents and integrations, each with what it is best for, its official source, and the date we checked it (Oct 18, 2026).

Starting tip. Recommends requiring approval for sending, purchasing, deleting, publishing or changing production systems, and having the Bot draft or recommend first. OFFICIAL xAI docs: Skills and routines (updated Oct 12, 2026), verified Oct 18, 2026.

Grok Bot
Best for: A bot that works on a recurring job and asks before it sends, posts, buys or deletes.
Bots can claim their own email address and receive mail there; email they send from it waits for your approval on a draft card. Bots can also search X and read posts and profiles without you connecting an X account, pay with X Money or Stripe Link, and show apps such as Figma, Notion and Canva as interactive cards in the chat. Before an action it can't undo, such as sending, posting, buying or deleting, a Bot checks your own messages for approval.

Grok Bot slide decks
Best for: Drafting a deck with the bot.
Bots can build slide decks with you, showing sample slides to choose from, and deliver them as PowerPoint files or Google Slides. Bots can also send formatted emails from a draft card, and the Bot's computer screen is now 1920 × 1200, up from 1280 × 800.

Team Bots
Best for: One shared bot for a whole team, with private chats.
Share a Grok Bot with your team. It combines files and instructions, plugins like Salesforce, Notion and GitHub, credentials and memories. Each person's chats stay private, and a Bot can join a Slack channel.

Grok Bot for Enterprise
Best for: Organizations running bots at work.
Grok Bot is now open to enterprises, with access, network and audit controls. Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers get free usage for two weeks and can invite their whole organization.

Claude Code subagents
Best for: Splitting a coding task across parallel sub-tasks.
A new Idle compaction row in /config turns idle compaction off or back on. Fork subagents are now on by default in claude -p, the Agent SDK, the desktop app and VS Code, as they already were in the terminal (CLAUDE_CODE_FORK_SUBAGENT=0 turns them off). The /design-sync and /design-login commands now note that standalone Claude Design (claude.ai/design) closes by December 14, 2026.

Claude Code Review
Best for: Automatic pull-request reviews.
Automatic GitHub pull-request reviews are out of research preview for Team and Enterprise organizations. Anthropic says most reviews now finish about 3x faster (6 to 10 minutes, down from about 20), and admins can pick Quick, Standard or Deep for each repository. Eligible Enterprise organizations can claim at least $10,000 in Code Review credits by January 15, 2027.

Claude Cowork, Design, Slides and Docs
Best for: Working on documents and decks inside any chat.
Hand Claude a report, spreadsheet or deck from any conversation without picking a mode. Design, Slides and Docs artifacts are on every plan, including Free.

Dots and Codex Cloud
Best for: Always-on agents.
Dots are always-on agents for eligible Pro and Business Premium users. Pro 500 is a new $500/month tier with Astra Ultrafast. Codex Cloud lets tasks keep running while your computer sleeps.
- Agent · OpenAI · Oct 16, 2026
GPT-6 Pro parallel agents
Best for: Splitting one task across agents you can follow.
GPT-6 Pro in the chat tab now answers faster, uses plugins and tools better, and can split a task across multiple agents working in parallel that you can follow in the conversation. Rolling out to eligible Pro users.

Katana
Best for: Rebuilding a video edit with your assets from inside Claude (Higgsfield MCP).
Katana takes a reference edit plus up to five photos of characters, products or clothing and rebuilds the video with your assets through Higgsfield MCP in Claude. It uses your normal Higgsfield credits.

Ad Multiplier
Best for: Turning one reference video ad into variants.
Upload one reference video ad (4 to 30 seconds) and up to 20 images. Ad Multiplier swaps the character, product, outfit or location and can change the hook, script or call to action.
- Integration · Midjourney · Oct 9, 2026
Midjourney MCP (limited test)
Best for: Creative work from an MCP client; applications only.
Midjourney is starting to test a Midjourney MCP with a limited community of creative and technical people. It says the test is for artistic and creative work, not for using Midjourney inside SaaS products. Applications are open through the link in its post.
