Affiliate disclosure
Last updated October 17, 2026.
The short version
Some links on Found Motive may be affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Where things stand today
We do not currently have any affiliate relationships, and no link on the site pays us a commission. This page explains how we will handle it if that changes.
How we label affiliate links
- A deal that uses an affiliate link shows a small “affiliate link” label next to its button, and links back to this page.
- Affiliate links are marked with
rel="sponsored"so search engines know they are paid. - Links to vendor pages that we cite as sources are not affiliate links.
Deals are listed on merit
We list a deal because it is a real, current offer we could check, not because it pays us. Whether or not a link is an affiliate link, every deal shows when we last checked it and where the information came from. A commission doesn’t change what we say about a deal, and we will say so plainly when an offer is poor value or can’t be verified.
What a commission means for you
The price you pay is the same with or without our link. The vendor, or its affiliate network, may pay us a share of the sale. Affiliate links may also set tracking cookies on the vendor’s side so the referral can be credited; see our privacy page.
Sponsorships
Paid placements are separate from affiliate links and are always labelled. See Sponsor.
