Make a song from your AI chat with the Suno connector

1. Workflow

1. Sign up for early access on Suno's MCP page and check you can sign in to your Suno account. Any plan works, including Free.

   Suno's release note says access starts with an early-access sign-up and the connector works on all Suno plans; its FAQ says Free is included and credits are used based on your plan (checked Oct 30, 2026).

2. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, press +, choose Add custom connector, name it Suno, paste https://api.suno.com/mcp as the URL, press Connect, then sign in to Suno and approve.

   These are Suno's own setup steps for Claude (Suno help: Connect Suno to your AI assistant, checked Oct 30, 2026). No API key is needed, per suno.com/mcp. Anthropic says custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, but Free is limited to one custom connector.

   Cost

   $0 on Claude Free (uses your one free custom connector).

3. Using ChatGPT, Claude Code or another tool instead? Follow Suno's steps for that app: in ChatGPT go to Plugins, Add, Add custom MCP server, use the same URL and choose Create as a plugin; in Claude Code run: claude mcp add --transport http suno https://api.suno.com/mcp and then /mcp to sign in.

   Suno's help article lists these steps for ChatGPT, Claude Code, Gemini and Cursor (checked Oct 30, 2026). OpenAI's help says custom MCP access depends on your plan and workspace, so it may not appear on every ChatGPT plan.

4. Start a new chat, paste the prompt below and answer its questions one at a time. When it shows the title, style and lyrics, check them, then say yes so it makes two versions with Suno.

   Why

   Suno says you can create songs conversationally and work on lyrics and style with your assistant, and the songs land in your Suno library (release note, Oct 28, 2026). An interview first means the song uses your real details, not made-up ones.

   Cost

   Free: 50 credits a day, which Suno says is 10 songs.

6. Caveats and assumptions

• The Suno connector is a beta that opens through an early-access sign-up, so you may have to wait for access, and steps or limits can change.
• Claude Free allows only one custom connector. If you already use one, remove it or use a paid plan.
• ChatGPT's custom MCP option depends on your plan, workspace and region, per OpenAI's help center; we couldn't confirm which personal plans include it.
• Every song uses Suno credits from your plan. Ask the chat how many credits you have left before you make lots of versions.
• Songs made on Suno Free have no commercial rights. Don't use them in ads, paid videos or products; Suno's pricing page lists commercial use rights on paid plans.
• Don't ask for a song in the style of a named artist, and don't put other people's lyrics in. Use your own words.
